Lakehead University’s Achievement Program

David Tamblyn

Thank you for your gift in honour of Mr. David Tamblyn’s retirement from the Superior-Greenstone District School Board.  He has served the Board for 30 years and served as its Director of Education since 2011.

As an educator, and as the Chair of Lakehead’s Board of Governors, Mr. Tamblyn believes strongly in Lakehead University’s newly created Achievement Program.

Starting in grade 4, participating students earn financial support from grade 4 to grade 12 through academic and recreational programming at their schools, in their communities and on campus at Lakehead University.  Students from the Superior-Greenstone District School Board will be enrolled in The Achievement Program beginning in the Fall of 2018.

Gifts to The Achievement Program ensure Lakehead University can provide these students with access to postsecondary education, as well as with the confidence and skills needed to achieve academic success.
